First day at the internship

Today was the first day of my internship at the radio station FM Plus.  I was pretty nervous for it, but the people that I will be working with are very nice and very welcoming.  I spent the day in the technician’s booth observing how things function and helping out where I could.  I feel that I am really going to enjoy this experience.  There were two shows recorded today, one about European culture and focusing on music and the other about dietary health.  I also helped Manu, the technician; fine-tune the audio levels for an announcement spot.  It was very interesting to see firsthand all of the work that goes into producing what we hear on the radio.  My next day is Friday, at 9:00 in the morning.  While I am a bit bummed that I have lost my morning to sleep in, I figure that this will be much more interesting, anyway, and that there will be plenty of time to sleep back in the States.  In all, I am very content with my internship so far.
