Dreaming in French

First of all, I apologize for the lack of a post yesterday.  I am coming down with a small illness, but I am getting better and should be as right as rain in a few days.

I am working on getting those photos from the weekend up on Facebook, so check back later this evening and they will hopefully be online.  Excitement.  Not much has happened so far this week.  Being sick, I haven’t had much interest in going out.  I did, however, have my first dream in French the other night, which was interesting.

In the dream, I was in Ireland on my vacation and I was talking to a man in French and he was replying to me in English.  I don't know why I insisted on speaking French to him when we were in an English-speaking country, but I was quite insistant on it, just as he was insistant on replying to every French sentance in English.  He was sort of confused about it, it being obvious to him that French wasn't my first language and that I could perfectly understand his Enlish replies.  He commented about it.  And that's all that was pertinent about that dream.

I’ve been told that dreaming in a foreign language is a sign that one is finally adapting.  Indeed, my comprehension of the language is getting better, which thrills me to no end, but I still need to work on my speaking ability.  Things are going smoother, for which I am thankful.
