Yesterday I had an eventful day at the radio station. I found out what I would be doing with my
remaining time at the station: two separate radio shows and also learning to operate
more of the technical controls.
I also made my first recording. The first show, a chronique of my time here, is basically going to be a series of
four-minute audio-blogs. Piece of
cake. I recorded the first one about
three things I liked about Montpellier that we don’t have in Michigan: the
beautiful weather (sorry, Michigan, but it was at least 20 degrees warmer over
here all winter), the convenient system of public transportation, and the
amazing architecture (with buildings older than my country).
The other radio show will be about Irish music. I will get to choose the songs and talk about
them, with the guidance of one of the station employees, Thibault (no, not my
host brother, it’s a fairly common name here).
So that is what’s on my plate.
