Haircuts, two concerts, and afternoon plans

So yesterday I worked some more on finalizing my radio show episodes, but was sadly unable to record any more due to the recording room being occupied all morning and afternoon.  Instead I’ll have to finish the two and a half remaining episodes this weekend/early next week and do a marathon recording and editing session on Wednesday and Friday next week.

After I finished up at the radio station for the day, I went and finally got a haircut.  I looked up a place online that had pretty good reviews, so I followed the address and was shocked to discover that it was on the same square as Fitzpatrick’s, which was a bit amusing for me.  I guess I don’t really stray out of that quarter of the old city.  The hair cut is pretty good, a bit shorter than I usually get it cut, but that’s fine.

In the evening I went to a Brahms concert at the Opéra Comédie with Thibault.  It was very good.  I liked it better than Mozart.  The violin soloist was amazing.  After the concert, I went to Fitzpatrick’s to listen to the live Irish music there.  The band last night consisted of the usual guitarist/tin-whistler, accordionist, and fiddler, who were joined by two additional fiddlers and a man who played a rhythm instrument whose name I do not know.

After lunch today, I am going to go to the ZAT, or the Zone Artistique Temporaire, a large free festival of street art, including music, theater, dance, parkour, and many, many unclassifiable things.  I am looking forward to it.  I will be writing my last chronique episode on it, but I am sure that I will have no problems being inspired.
