Ducking out of a class when comprehension fails

So it snowed today.  Everyone freaked out.  While it came down pretty thick, there wasn’t enough to accumulate and it all melted as it hit the ground, making everything wet.  Being from Michigan, I failed to be impressed.

Meteorological disappointments aside, today was a pretty laid back day.  I slept in and eventually took the bus to campus for my afternoon classes.  I was trying out a Sociology of Art class to see if I would want to take it.  I decided about 20 minutes in that I did not, in fact, want to take it.  I thought it would be rude, however, to get up in the middle of it and leave, so I stayed and pretended to take notes and appear interested.  The vocabulary and concepts were a bit over my head.  I am sure that I would have been able to understand it better had I studied art before, but as it was, I couldn’t make heads or tails of the obscure artists that the professor cited.  After about two hours, he let us go for a ten minute break, but I gathered my belongings together and beat a swift retreat.  My other class, the history the Languedoc-Roussillon region, went a lot better.

That is about the entirety of my day, folks, sorry to disappoint.  I will have bigger and better things to write about this weekend, I’m sure.  So… stay tuned.
